The Elite Process
At Elite Epoxy we guarantee a high quality epoxy coated floor for all our customers. Our effective process provides a durable and long-lasting finished product. This process includes a detail-oriented floor preparation followed by the application of three layers of our high quality materials installed by our experienced team. A detailed step-by-step process is provided below.
Step 1: Free Consultation and Floor Evaluation
At Elite Epoxy, we take the time to discuss your project goals with you. We will schedule a site visit to confirm the specifics of your project: square footage, concrete condition, external environmental factors, colors, and styles. After a complete evaluation of your floor, we will provide you with our best recommendations and a detailed quote. If you choose to move forward, a member of our team will work with you to get you added to our installation schedule.
Step 2: Floor Preparation
Preparation is essential for a beautiful epoxy coated floor that is strong, durable, and long-lasting. At Elite Epoxy, we don’t cut corners! When preparing your floor, we first use a high quality diamond-plated concrete floor grinder. This helps open up the floor making it more porous and creates a better bond with the epoxy coating. We then meticulously vacuum and blow out all dust and debris providing a clean surface for application. Once the debris is cleared, our team will then patch and fill all cracks and divots with our special epoxy based patching material. At Elite Epoxy we ensure the best prepped concrete for a beautiful and long lasting epoxy coating finish.
Step 3: Application
After the floor is properly prepped, our experienced team will begin the application process. We start by rolling on the epoxy base coat in your selected color. The base coat will be applied to your entire floor and stem walls (if requested). We then broadcast the selected chip color onto the epoxy base coat and let the materials cure for 24 hours. Our team will return the following day to scrape the entire floor smoothing out the coating and removing any excess chips. This will create a smoothed floor with a slight texture for grip and durability. Our team will then roll on a clear polyurea sealing coat which provides a nice finishing gloss and seals the epoxy coating for extra durability and longevity.
The Finished Product
Your floor will be dry to the touch after 24 hours, but not fully cured until 48 hours after the completion of the application process. Once the curing is complete, your elite epoxy coated floor is ready for full usability. Enjoy!
